Kupe

Kupe: History tells us that Kupe was a cruel man but a good, good leader. He drowned his cousin so he could marry his wife but instead he had to run away because everyone was angry with him. He left with his wife Hine-te-Aparangi and two daughters called Matui and Maku and sailed around the Pacific Ocean. So when they were sailing across the Pacific Ocean to find NZ, a huge octopus swam out of his slimy home and crashed into his waka. Kupe then threw things into the sea to distract the slimy octopus from eating them then Kupe hit something on the octopus head to kill it. He was very brave. Overall I think Kupe is a bad leader because a good leader shows leadership by showing kindness and being a good role model. You don't kill.
