on Tuesday the 3 of November was athletics day for our Kauri and Puriri teams. The weather was cloudy which was good for all the activities. All of the activities were shot put, high jump, long jump, discus, 100 meter, 200, 400 if you are a year six, 800 and also class relays. What i'm happy about is that I came first in shot put. I left early with my mum and dad and didn't see our class come 4th in the relays.

Descriptive Writing

Here is am example of my descriptive writing. Can you guess what I am describing?

It's trunk is so long and skinny and it touches the sky, reaching up as tall as the sky tower. The green long pointy leaves was like an umbrella covering me from the rain, also blocking all the sunlight. On top there were three round bowling balls hanging down from the top with 3 weird holes like a funny `eel-like face. Picking one off they had brown hair on it. And when you shake it there water like the calming sea.
